East Of England Afghan Club Championship Show - Lesley Busby (Wilbus)

This was the most fabulous class that took my breath away and made my decisions very difficult. I had to nit-pick between them in the end and penalise the finer points such as one of my favourites deciding that it was playtime whilst on the move.

1st Open Dog, CC, Best In Show Lancashire & O’Donnell’s Drishaun Fair As A Lily JW This stunning self-masked cream won this hotly contested class and completely won me over as well. Presenting a perfect picture on the stack there is nothing that I would change about him. The loveliest of heads with chiselling in evidence, dark eye, balanced angulation, strong topline and correctly set on ring tail. His movement was true and purposeful with his ring tail held correctly. I repeat what I said earlier that along with his litter brothers that were here today, the presentation and condition that comes from this kennel is second to none. I was delighted to award this boy his crowning CC and to see him go Best in Show later under the BIS Judge was the icing on the cake.

Long neck flows into well laid shoulders, elbows set close to deep moderately sprung rib cage , short strong loin, correct fallaway to ring tail . Balanced rear construction with good length from hip to well let down hocks. He put all of this into good effect on the move .It was a pleasure to award him his first CC.

Western Afghan Hound Club Championship Show - Mary Pascoe (Sarakhan)

1st Limit Dog RCC Lancashire/O’Donnell’s Drishaun Fair As A Lily JW. This is the brother of my CC winner and with two more littermates winning their classes this is a very exceptional litter. Congratulations to the breeders. I loved this dog. All my comments about the CC winner apply here also. He is just so very handsome, he reminds me of his sire. My decision between him and his winning brother was so close, either could have taken the major award. Res.Dog C
